Yesterday, the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) filed a civil rights complaint against the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice. Border patrol officials have made statements that they've just been brought in for interpretation assistance when called in for traffic stops by the police. They've hinted that immigration enforcement activities aren't carried out when they've been interpreting, but allegedly, their actions have showed otherwise.
